Climber's Corner Presenters
Speaker Kit
Climber's Corner presenters at the ISA
international conference receive one complimentary full conference registration
for the lead presenter of each presentation.
*Please note that the complimentary registration is applicable to the lead
presenter only, not for the assistance of a secondary or supporting presenter. The
secondary or supporting presenter will receive complimentary registration for the day
of their presentation only. Only one secondary presenter will receive the
complimentary registration. Any additional presenters must register on their own.
Full Conference Registration includes:
- Monday-Wednesday educational sessions
- ITCC and Field Days transportation
- Opening Ceremony and Welcoming Reception
- Monday and Tuesday Trade Show
Registration for activities not included in your complimentary
registration or registration for a spouse/guest should be indicated on your
conference registration form by the appointed deadline in order to receive the
lowest ticketed price. All costs incurred for these additional activities are
the responsibility of the presenter.
Do not register online. Presenters must complete the registration
form provided in your assigned speaker kit and submit it to Lisa Gadbury by May
26, 2008. You may fax the form to 217-531-2824.

AV Equipment Request
Please contact Mary Belding, ISA Manager of Meetings and Events, mbelding@isa-arbor.com,
no later than May 26 with request for any required AV equipment for your presentation.
Late and onsite requests for AV equipment will be subject to availability, and ISA
reserves the right to charge a presenter for any additional costs that may be incurred.
Audio-Visual Technician
A professional audio visual technician will be available to guarantee that
all the presentation equipment is working properly. It is recommended that all
speakers utilizing a PowerPoint presentation stop by the Speaker Ready Room one
hour prior to their presentation. (Note: The audio-visual technician may be
responsible for more than one meeting room.)
Handout Material
ISA will not be responsible for duplicating copies of
handout materials for attendees. Costs incurred for copies of materials
will be at the speaker’s time and expense. Speakers are encouraged to submit
electronic versions of handouts for inclusion in the conference proceedings CD-Rom.
Conference Proceedings CD-ROM
New this year! ISA will be producing a Conference Proceedings CD-ROM
for distribution at the St. Louis annual conference. Submission of
the speaker’s presentation manuscript for inclusion on the Conference
Proceedings CD-ROM will fulfill the manuscript submission requirement
for reimbursement.
The CD will include the conference schedule, a brief bio of each
speaker, and program materials.
ISA will also accept the following items for CD-ROM inclusion:
- A summary paper or “extended abstract” of the presentation
- A full paper or written presentation
- A PowerPoint of the presentation (which will be converted to pdf.)
- E-versions of handouts
All items submitted for inclusion on the Conference Proceedings CD-ROM
must be received by ISA’s Andrew Koeser by May 12.
Climber's Corner Presenters receive reimbursement of eligible expenses as outlined
in the following guidelines listed in this policy.
Reimbursement Amount*
-Presentations 30 minutes or longer- $500 toward eligible expenses for speakers living in North America.
-Presentations less then 30 minutes- $250 for speakers living in North America
-Speakers living outside North America can receive up to $1,000 toward eligible expenses.

to the lead presenter only, not for the assistance of a secondary or supporting
presenter. ISA will not accept a reimbursement request from a secondary or
supporting presenter.
Eligible Expenses
Expenses eligible for reimbursement include transportation, hotel
accommodations, meals, and parking costs. Receipts as appropriate must
be included with your Speaker Reimbursement Form.
Separate activities such as receptions, luncheons, banquets, tours,
etc., are not eligible for reimbursement.
Manuscript Submission Requirement for Reimbursement
To be eligible for reimbursement of your travel expenses, ISA respectfully
requests that you submit your presentation from ISA’s 2008 conference. All
presentations will be considered for publication in Arboriculture & Urban
Forestry or Arborist News.
New this year! Submission of your manuscript for inclusion
on the Conference Proceedings CD-ROM will fulfill the manuscript submission
requirement. All manuscripts submitted for inclusion on the Conference
Proceedings CD-ROM must be received by ISA’s Andrew Koeser by May 12.
September 30 is the deadline to submit manuscripts, along
with the Manuscript Submission Form, to be considered for publication in
Arboriculture & Urban Forestry or Arborist News (see Manuscript Submission
Procedure).
In addition, an electronic copy of your presentation manuscript
must be submitted with the Reimbursement Request Form to ISA’s Andrew Koeser by
September 30 (see Reimbursement Procedure).
Reimbursement Procedure
Return and complete the Conference Speaker Reimbursement Request Form with
eligible receipts and an electronic copy of your presentation manuscript
that was submitted for publication in the Arboriculture and Urban Forestry,
or Arborist News, or the Conference Proceedings CD-ROM to ISA’s Andrew Koeser
by Sept 30.
