ISA Certified Arborist
|
This certification was developed for professional arborists
in order to provide the public and those in government with a means to identify
those professionals who have demonstrated, through a professionally developed
exam and education program, that they have a thorough knowledge of tree care
practices. It is also designed to be an educational program that will improve
technical competency of personnel in the tree care industry and create incentives
for these individuals to continue their professional development.

The ISA Certified Arborist Exam is also available by computer based testing.
If you chose to take the exam through the computer based testing, you will
need to complete your application indicating you wish to take the computer based exam. The
application will ask you for an exam date, you will leave this blank as this will not be
decided until after your application has been reviewed and approved by our office. Once your
application has been approved and processed we will email you a confirmation letter with
instructions on how to schedule your exam date when it works best for you as long as it is
within 90 days.
If you wish to take the exam through the computer based testing there will be a
$100 administration fee on top of the normal exam fees. The administration fee is each time
an applicant takes the exam through this system.
In order to schedule a computer based exam, you MUST submit your application
and/or retake form to ISA. The testing vendor will not allow you to schedule an exam directly
through them.
